Our story

A family business since 1988

The group began in 1988, when Naresh Patel opened Sahajanand Spares Corner in Kisumu. Building hardware, food wholesale and a lubricants plant followed, and today the group trades all over Western Kenya from its bases in Kisumu and Kakamega.

It is still owned and run by the family. Each company keeps its own counter, its own stock and its own team, and each serves a different trade.

What they share is the way they work. Stock is held close to the customer, deliveries go out on our own lorries, and the people at the counter know the goods.
